US Pack-to-Serving Ranking

This live table ranks up to 100 products by pack size divided by the serving used in third-party product data.

It measures a pack-to-serving gap. It does not claim to measure what a person eats or drinks.

What we examined

The service searches selected food and drink terms in the US region of the FatSecret Platform API. It deduplicates returned product IDs before applying the eligibility rules.

What the label data shows

Each eligible record needs a named serving, a numeric serving amount and a pack size that the parser can convert to the same unit type. These are third-party database fields that may reproduce product-label information; PerBiscuit has not checked every package image.

What it was compared with

The calculation divides the parsed pack amount by the serving amount. A 600 ml pack with a 200 ml serving has a pack-to-serving ratio of 3.0.

Interpretation

A larger ratio means the pack contains more of the listed servings. It does not show that the pack is intended for one person, or that any person consumes the full pack.

Limitations

  • The search terms form a purposive sample, not a census of US products.
  • Only records with a parseable and comparable pack size qualify.
  • Third-party records can be incomplete, stale or attached to a different product variant.
  • This ranking does not use PerBiscuit portion reports. A separate user-reported analysis remains pending.

Why the information may be useful

The ratio shows how many listed servings fit into a pack. That can help readers identify products where per-pack arithmetic may be useful, without treating the pack as a reported portion.

Method and sources

Eligible products are sorted by the unrounded pack-to-serving ratio, highest first. Completeness and product name break ties. The page publishes the retrieval time, unique sample size, eligible sample size and displayed count supplied by the endpoint.
